Joe Toomey

Senior Consultant

Joe Toomey is a native and resident of south Alabama.  He recently retired from 29 years in public education. While working in public education, he served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal at the middle and high school levels. He is recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School Principal, 2020 Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major Award winner for Mobile, Alabama, 2020 President of the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals,  2019 District One Principal of the Year, CLAS Executive Board Member, and US Air Force Veteran.

As a high school principal, Joe was commended for his servant leadership and igniting change. While serving at Murphy High School, he increased the ACT rate, teacher retention rate, credential rate, graduation rate, and the building morale. In addition to, he decreased discipline and suspensions.  Student and teacher relationships flourished and the culture of the building improved daily.  His ability to foster and cultivate change helped establish his credibility as a respectable leader.

Joe and his wife, Kelly, currently reside in Magnolia Springs, AL.  They are the proud parents of six children, Hayli, Joseph, Hannah, Abigail, Hayden, and Piper and six grandchildren.  In their spare time, they enjoy outdoor activities and time with family and friends.
